Coreio’s annual United Way campaign concluded last Friday, and it was a huge success. Our daily events and pledge drives provided an opportunity for all of Coreio to come together in support of a great cause, and have a lot of fun too.

We started Monday getting a sweet tooth fix, with Diana and her team’s wonderful bake sale. This is a staple of our campaign going back to our first year, 20 years ago. Our VP of Sales and Marketing, awarded Kimberly for best tasting and Hillary for best presentation. They both received a $100 LCBO gift card donated by Swerve Design and Securitas.

At our official United Way Kickoff party, also Monday,  our CEO, David Naiman, announced that Coreio would match dollar for dollar every donation our employees pledged.   Then our 90s trivia competition awarded winners with tickets to use at any of our daily raffles.   We ended our day with the first raffle of the week where we awarded Mehare a $100 Best Buy gift card and Screen Beam furnished by Dee Print and Tech Data Canada.

Tuesday was another great day with the exciting Name that Tune game, in which two players faced off in 90s musical knowledge.  The victor Lisa won a $25 Amazon gift card donated through K&R Ltd funds.  At the end of day, we awarded two prizes: the Early Bird Grand Pledger prize of a $300 Yorkdale gift card, furnished by Alliance Air Systems won by Patrick, and our second raffle, won by Ana Jamal, who took home $100 Keg gift card sponsored by Securitas and Queue IT Professionals and Movie Passes furnished by Devry Smith Frank LLP.
