Wayne Balardo leads Advisory Services

Recently, Coreio announced the acquisition of Balardo Group, an IT Infrastructure and Operations advisory firm. Adding considerable bench strength to Coreio’s Advisory Services will help us to offer a well-rounded, experience-driven solution for enterprises seeking expertise and guidance. Perhaps no one on the Balardo Group team epitomizes the value of that “bench strength” addition more than Wayne Balardo, who will now lead Coreio’s Advisory Services practice as Vice President.  He will manage the daily activities of the practice which includes business development, supporting the practice executives, establishing standards and developing the appropriate models and frameworks to deliver expert insight to clients.

Wayne has over 40 years of experience in the management of complex IT infrastructure projects for a wide variety of business needs. Throughout his career he has focused on assisting clients in the development of plans to optimize and reduce operational risk.  Before establishing Balardo Group in 1989, Wayne was a Principal with DMR Group Inc. and a Senior Project Manager for the Bank of Montreal, where he managed several large international and domestic projects.

Wayne’s expertise in the Project Management arena includes IT Infrastructure consolidation and optimization, and managing a multifaceted combination of stakeholders and competing priorities.  Within the consulting space, Wayne has the professional designation of CMC (Certified Management Consultant) and has extensive knowledge in IT Infrastructure gap analysis and plans, roadmaps, major infrastructure changes and adapting IT processes to specific business challenges.  He has managed numerous data centre consolidations and migrations, has held various line management and technical responsibilities as well as a wide range of positions from computer operator to systems programmer.  He is excited to be joining Coreio and leading a practice that will provide great value to clients based on a foundation of trust and experience.
